Steve started working with Moss Utilities in July 2019, and he is our business development director. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing and management from Harding University in 1981.

After college, Steve sold specialty construction equipment, then worked as the national sales manager for a trench shield company for ten years. In 1999, he got into utility construction, and he’s worked in this industry ever since.

Steve says that he loves talking to potential clients, “seeing the opportunity, getting excited about it, and carrying it through to a hopefully awarded project to construct.” He thinks that the big advantage Moss has over our competitors is how our ownership group takes a hands-on approach to the industry, and how they’re willing to make changes on the fly.

Steve and his late wife Cindy were married for 25 years. He has an adult daughter (Sarah), and he also has three dogs around the house. In his free time, Steve stays busy by golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Some of his favorite vacations include Maui, Mackinac Island, and visiting national parks.
